2025: An aged deck installed without proper flashing caused the ledger board and a floor joist to rot. Pictured is removal of the existing deck, lifting of the home for framing member repair, the replaced floor joist and ledger board, and two angles of the new deck’s stringers now including proper flashing.

Step 1 - Remove the existing deck
Step 2 - Raise the house for framing member repair
Step 3 - Replace the rotted floor joists
Step 4 - Install the new ledger board
Step 5 - Install the new deck's stringers. Note the flashing used to prevent recurrence of the original issue.
